I have work-based learning for my fourth period class. Mrs. Carissa Parker is my teacher. This class is offered third and fourth period, but i decided to only take it fourth and one semester.

 

The Work-Based Learning Program provides a highly trained, technologically sophisticated and career oriented young work force. This is accomplished by developing partnerships between business, industry, students, parents, school systems, coordinators, and post-secondary institutions which will lead the participating student into meaningful careers. The class requires you to work seve hours a week per class period. You also have additional assignments that she posts on her website.

 

I love this class! It has given me the chanse to experince what it's like to work at a real office. It has also shown me what work is going to be like working for an office. I leave at 1:30 PM everyday and got to work at Alfa Insurance.
