My second period class is English 11. Mrs. Debbie Roper is my teacher. The class is an hour and thirty minutes long and it is a semester class. In this class you are requird to take an EOC.

 

We are studying American Literature. We have read  short stories, dramas, poetry, nonfiction, and essays. We will be reading works by Benjamin Franklin, Edgar A. Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Ernest Hemingway, Robert Frost, and others. We also he learned about grammar, composition, vocabulary, and independent novel study. We also have our own class blog that we use.

     

I'm not a big fan of English, but I like this class. Mrs. Roper is an excellent teacher. We read The Crucible. We have just stared Huckleberry Finn by Makr Twain. I do believe we are also going to read The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne.
